Numbers On Napkins - "Waiting for Tomorrow"

Skratch

March 2005

Issue #109

Written By: Dane Jackson

Waiting for Tomorrow is the debut release from the Phoenix based pop punk trio, Numbers On Napkins. The CD is actually very impressive for the bands first album, and the recording is very bright and crisp, with a very radio friendly mix to it. The band plays polished pop punk with simple guitar riffs, catchy bass lines, ultra tight drums, and powerfully melodic vocals with well executed harmonies. NON's lyric's seem to surround love for the most part, although the band does mix thing up with a bit of comedy and hateful anger with their song, "Burnin' Bridges". It's a solid album, and fans of Blink, MXPX, Good Charlotte, and Green Day are sure to love it.
