Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, Left Right Combo formed in the summer of 1997. The band played fast and aggressive hardcore punk rock that packed a solid punch! After the band had only performed a handful of shows, they signed with the Phoenix based independent record label, Bad Stain Records. After signing to Bad Stain, Left Right Combo entered the recording studio and laid down four tracks for their release.

Left Right Combo had signed to Bad Stain at the same time as the pop punk band, Scratch N’ Sniff, and the two bands were good friends and had pitched the idea of releasing a split record release. Bad Stain had green lit the idea, and after Scratch N’ Sniff completed their time in the studio, the recordings were sent to out for mastering and then sent to the pressing plant to be manufactured.

In 1998, Bad Stain Records released the Left Right Combo / Scratch N’ Sniff limited edition Split Seven Inch Record. The record had a limited pressing of just 1,000 copies, and the release earned several positive reviews from critics. Maximum Rock N’ Roll said the Left Right Combo “(had) and infectious sound that pumped in the same hardcore veins as Minor Threat” and the the band was “similar to what you would expect to hear from D.C.’s hardcore scene in the 80’s”. The bands raw, street style of hardcore punk rock gained a decent following, and in 1999, the band found themselves performing at various venues throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Delaware, and Maryland.

In early 2000, Left Right Combo discontinued performing live shows, and gradually faded out of the scene with no explanation as to what circumstances had transcribed to cause the bands absence. The band never returned to the scene and never released any other albums since.
