One club Stain was best known to frequent was Big D's. He enjoyed Big
D's because of the friendly atmosphere and it was close to his home,
unlike other local hot spots like The Cajun House or Sanctuary.
compilations. He also started a new zine called "Unspeakable Thoughts". U.T. Fanzine
quickly started to generate money, but Bad Stain Records was now suffering. Nearly all
of Stain's distributors had gone belly up, owing Stain thousands of dollars. With no legal
way to collect, he chose to put the label on hold and focus only on U.T. Fanzine.
Stain and his new wife were doing well. Stain had quit drugs and alcohol. For the first
time in years he was sober, but not happy. He was beginning to get to know his new
wife. He was beginning to relize he didn't really like his new wife. He was beginning to
realize he had made a tragic mistake.
Unspeakable Thoughts fanzine was not enough to support Stain and
his wife, so he got a job in a warehouse delivering Air Conditioners to
local businesses. He spent his days at work, and his nights writing
and editing. He even started to include free CD's in his zines,
benefiting the label and the zine. U.T. made enough money
to pay all of their bills, so the
money Stain earned went to
entertainment. A fact that his

outlandish spending habits that
kept her happy.
a job as an air conditioner installer. He quickly jumped at the job that paid
$2.50 more then his current position. Stain learned everything about air
conditioners and eventually moved on to a new company with even better
pay.
His wife was still unhappy with Stain. She felt that the Zine and label needed
to go. Stain gave up on everything and watched his dream disappear.
Stain grew tired with his situation in life. He spent the next 2 years miserable, and eventually started using
alcohol, marijuana, and prescription pain killers frequently. It seemed he could not find a way to tell his wife of
his misery. Then, in May of 2001, Stain's wife asked for a divorce. Stain quickly agreed seeing this to be the
opportunity he needed to get out of his mistake.
Stain moved into a one bedroom apartment
with his dog Angel in June of 2001. Chase
was now 23 years old and ready for a new
chance at life. He spent his free time
writing music and soon decided to start up
Dirty Laundry again.
Chase went to B-Hound and purposed the
idea, but B-Hound was tired of Dirty
Laundry and wanted no part. Stain then
asked Tokyo Bill, but Tokyo felt the same
as B-Hound. The only member that was
willing was former drummer Ryan
Hamilton, and he lived in Flagstaff. Stain
felt stuck. He was writing new songs for
the first time in years, but had no band to
expose the music to the masses.
He did have one prospect. A 27 year old guitarist named Johnny
Laundromat was willing to play with Stain, now all they needed was a
drummer and Stain could let his music be heard.
Laundromat knew a bassist from his former band, and Justin Bleach soon
became Dirty Laundry's first bass player since Chase Stain. Chase had
graduated to guitar. Bleach soon recruited 26 year old drummer Joe
Detergent and the final line up was complete. The next step was to teach the music to the members, a task
that proved to be hard because of the cocaine addiction that Bleach and Detergent had. Laundromat was
growing tired of the situation and purposed to Stain the idea of starting a booking agency. Stain agreed to
finance the project if Laundromat ran operations and the two formed Laundromat Productions.

Laundromat Productions began booking shows all over
Arizona and Southern California, but the venture was
hardly profitable. Stain found himself paying $20 to
$100 per week to throw the shows. He was upset
because of the problems he was having getting the new
Dirty Laundry off the ground. They had now been
together nearly 3 months and could only perform 10
songs. Stain came up with the idea of laying down
pre-production tracks so the band members could
learn the songs. He once again chose J-Sin Daily as
the engineer.
While laying down tracks for the new Dirty Laundry
songs, Daily asked Stain to play bass with his new
band that was forming. Stain agreed and practiced the
following day, learning the entire 13 song set list.

Stain found himself once again on the bass playing with Daily and a local drummer Tom Lynch. Stain also was
juggling Dirty Laundry and a full time job installing air conditioners. To make matters worse, Johnny
Laundromat was slacking with Laundromat Productions and damaging Stain's name.

On New Year's Eve the Weasels crashed a block party for a biker gang. It
didn't take long before the block was a little upset at the boys for hitting on their
girlfriends and drinking all of their booze. The block turned into chaos with the
first blow. The fighting lasted for what seemed forever. No cops were coming to
the aid of the Weasels, and the whole block was against them. The night became
a historic battle. The Weasels were left beat and broken with battle scars ranging
from cuts and bruises, to broken collar bones and busted eardrums. Stain
suffered a broken right hand, making him unable to play or perform his day job.
Stain's employers were getting fed up. They grew tired of seeing Stain come in
with black eyes and busted lips. They grew tired of finding him sleeping in the
parking lot still drunk from the night before. They gave Stain a choice, shape up
or ship out.
Stain was in a crisis. He felt it was time to grow
up, yet he couldn't seem to find a way to go about
it. While in Big D's Stain was introduced to a
girl, we'll call her Hoebag. Stain pursued and
eventually married her.
Stain likes to call his The Dark Times. His new
wife was not a fan of his music, or any music.
Reluctantly, Stain agreed not to play guitar or
bass any more. Instead he focused mainly on his
label, putting out full lengths for United
Magnetics, Swallow This, and of course

Stain was evicted from his apartment and now living with Kris and Kelly
Johnson yet again. This time living inside of their closet for $50 a
week. Stain and Daily had recruited a young guitarist named Yort and
came up with the name Yar's Revenge. Dirty Laundry was playing out
at parties, but Stain did not feel confident enough with his new members
to perform on stage yet.
Yar's Revenge was more polished and all the members felt it was time
to play out. Their first gig would be big. They would be performing
America West Arena for the Phoenix Coyotes. The show was amazing
and left all of Yar's wanting more of the stage. They quickly started
scheduling shows and practicing three times per week.
There was still the matter of raging testosterone among Stain's
Weasels. Bar fights were becoming a nightly event and law
enforcement knew Stain by name.
